Who are we looking for?

	We are looking for creative young entrepreneurs that have started a new business using creativity in product development, service development, and in their approach to the market. Or, they have taken an existing business, and incorporated creativity to solve a problem, or change a process to create positive change in their business operations. Your country is full of young entrepreneurs who have used their imagination in solving problems and approaching the market. Your contribution in supporting this contest will assist in learning about, and honoring these young entrepreneurs.

General Rules

Men and women between the ages of 18 and 40 may participate in this program. Participants must be under 40 years of age on the date the recognition ceremony is held.
A nominee must be an owner/manager who is primarily responsible for the recent, or start-up performance of a privately held business.
A nominee must be a resident of the Malaysia.

Nomination Process Flow

Nomination & Award Process Flow

All nominations must be submitted using the online nomination form located on the JCI website at www.jci.cc. Submissions must be received by the deadline : 31 May 2009. The nomination form is downloadable and printable in order to help nominators prepare the nomination prior to entering it online. The official entry must be submitted online only. Nominations received in any other format will be disqualified.

All eligible entries received online will be forwarded to JCI Malaysia for distribution to the judges for evaluation.

3 National Finalists will be selected competitively by a panel of judges who are experts drawn from within the economic and entrepreneurial community

The National Finalists will be announced vide a press release and the local media will be invited to cover the event.

An Award Ceremony will be held to recognize the 3 National Finalists and the JCI Malaysia Creative Young Entrepreneur Award will be presented to these 3 National Finalists during the ceremony.

The 3 National Finalists together with other finalists from other countries will then enter the international level competition where 3 semi-finalists will be selected competitively by an international panel of judges.

The 3 semi-finalists will travel to the JCI World Congress where a winner of the JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (World) will be announced.

JCI will cover the cost of accommodation and travel for the 3 semi-finalists to the JCI World Congress.

Entry Form and Submission Steps

Step 1 – Create User Account

1) Go to JCI website : www.jci.cc

2) Register yourself as user of JCI website

Look for Welcome to jci.cc join now / sign in on the top left corner
Click “join now”
A pop-up form will appear. Create your user name and password and fill in the necessary particulars, then click “Submit your information”
Your user account will be created immediately and you can now take the next step to submit your Creative Young Entrepreneur Award entry form

Step 2 – Entry Form Submission

Sign in as a user of www.jci.cc website using the user name and password created
Click “Programs” on the top menu bar and select “CYEA”
Click “CYEA Entry Form”
Create a new Entry Form and enter your particulars accordingly.

Note:

Nominations must be completed in English to be eligible, and answers must not exceed the word limits shown for each question. All allowed information must be included in the pages of the nomination form online.
You can save your submission and come back to edit it later. You will not be allowed to edit your entry form after the closing date of 31 May 2009. Once the closing date is lapsed, the information contained in your entry form will be sent to the organising committee and judges.
